Mapping Monotony

Steel wire. 15' x 12' x 1.5'

I am acutely aware of, and drawn to, the overlooked, discarded and random vicissitudes of daily existence. I move through the day searching for the surprising and the beautiful in the commonplace. Rather than reciting, I turn the tedium of routine to my favor, recreating patterns hidden in the inconsequential. I revel in its repetition and the accretion it produces, capturing the modest miracle of the fleeting and mundane.
